The Pompous Scholar's Apocalyptic Orchard
By @john1208
Tavran never confessed his feelings to Ysadell before the catastrophic rift claimed her. Standing at her empty-casket funeral, the prickly, immensely proud scholar inherits her final possession: a gateway key to the Ziggurat of Qen, the deadliest dungeon on earth. Determined to honor her by completing her final mission, Tavran enters the abyss - and immediately misinterprets the apocalyptic System. To his stubborn mind, 'Slay the Abyssal Earth-Render' clearly means 'tame this beast to plow the soil.' 'Hellfire Eruption' is merely the optimal climate for his rare sun-apples. Soon, his impenetrable shield-pumpkins and miraculous healing apples render the outside world's potion economy entirely worthless. He even domesticates a terrifying shadow dragon just to perfectly roast marshmallow-slimes, and the legendary dungeon boss has surrendered his dark reign to open a bustling farmers market for Tavran's cabbages. But as Tavran stubbornly builds a cozy, chaotic paradise in the heart of darkness, fending off bankrupt potion-barons with weaponized vegetables, a bittersweet question lingers: what if the dungeon's ultimate reward is the power to bring Ysadell back?
