When the storm brought you to me
By @Lena Hellmick
At eleven, Analena Hartmann survived the devastating El Reno tornado, but the monster of wind and dust devoured her family, leaving her with only her Golden Retriever, Buddy. Five years later, she is Lena Carter, living on the Stormhaven Ranch in the heart of Oklahoma's Terra Tempest. Under the guidance of her famous storm-chaser uncle, Jack, she chases the very demons that haunt her nightmares using cutting-edge renewable energy and weather technology. To the world, Lena is cold, calculating, and reckless - a fearless prodigy who runs toward danger. Inside, she is a fragile storm of trauma, hiding a vulnerable heart behind a chilly facade. When a mysterious new chaser joins their crew, Lena is forced to confront her deepest fears. As the Great Plains prepare for a storm season unlike any other, Lena must decide if she will harness the wind to heal, or let her obsession consume her.
