Chronicles of the Ascendant Spirit
By @Shae Plum
Elara, a timid apprentice alchemist in the shadowed city of Veridian, stumbles upon the 'Spirit Core' - a mythical artifact that grants her the ability to merge with and command the elemental spirits of the land. This forbidden power, once wielded by ancient sorcerers, draws the attention of the Obsidian Hand, an insidious cult seeking to siphon the world's natural magic into their own corrupted rituals. As Veridian's leylines begin to wither and its people sicken, Elara must shed her crippling self-doubt and embrace a destiny far grander and more dangerous than she ever imagined. Her unique connection to the spirits offers humanity a fragile hope, but one misstep could unleash an ecological catastrophe and plunge the world into an age of barren despair. Can a girl who fears her own shadow become the world's most luminous protector?
