Shadows of the Last Breath
By @john1208
Elara Vance is the sole survivor of the 'Crimson Harvest,' a brutal mass murder that claimed her entire family. Two years later, her sanctuary - the remote farmhouse where it happened - feels like a prison. Every creak of the floorboards, every shadow stretching across the familiar walls, seems to whisper the names of the dead. The official report called it a home invasion gone wrong, but Elara remembers something *more* than human in the killer's eyes, a chilling emptiness that has never truly left. She sees fleeting apparitions, hears phantom screams, and feels icy breaths on her neck in empty rooms. Her therapist dismisses it as trauma-induced psychosis, but Elara knows better. The killer didn't escape; it simply stopped hiding. It’s still here, a malevolent shadow feeding on her survivor's guilt and lingering terror, slowly unraveling her sanity. It wants to finish what it started, not with a blade, but by consuming her mind, turning her final moments into a grotesque echo of that night. Can she expose the unseen predator before her reality shatters completely?
