Chronicles of the Ascendant Wraith
By @Kleiah Wallace
In a realm where divine power is inherited and destiny is preordained, Elara, a girl ostracized for her chilling aura, stumbles upon the 'Echoing Soul' - an ancient cheat ability allowing her to absorb the latent memories and skills of the recently deceased. Each absorbed soul grants her fleeting glimpses of their past lives and burgeoning abilities, but at a cost: their fragmented despair threatens to consume her sanity. Forced to flee her village after an incident of uncontrolled power, Elara enters a world teetering on the brink of a magical blight. She seeks not power, but answers to the whispering voices and the true nature of her curse. Can she master the Echoing Soul before she becomes merely an echo herself, or will she succumb to the specters of the fallen, inadvertently becoming the very threat the world fears?
