Acolyte of Forgotten Altars
By @john1208
Zenthos, the Celestial Architect, was a grandmaster whose formations could ensnare gods. Now, he's Renzo Valeriani, a penniless man in a strange new world, waking up with amnesia at his own funeral. This Earth has no spiritual energy, but it seethes with something else: belief. Renzo discovers he can draw power from the faith and memory directed at others, turning reverence into fuel for his ancient arts. Taking a job as an undertaker's assistant, he finds himself at the nexus of belief - grief, remembrance, and fear. He begins creating 'altars' at the sites of strange deaths, weaving formations that draw power from local legends and tragedies. But his work attracts unwanted attention. The city's shadowed corners crawl with creatures of myth - vampiric covens and territorial lycans - who are being systematically hunted. As Renzo seeks clues to find other reincarnated cultivators from his lost home, he realizes the monster killings and his search for his people are not separate paths. Why are these ancient beings dying, and how is their demise connected to the disappearance of his own kind?
