My Forgotten Promise to the Aurorians
By @john1208
Fenna Kova leads a life as quiet as the library she works in, her only excitement found between the pages of a book. That predictable peace shatters when she finds Kym, a dazzlingly famous pop idol, bleeding out in an alley. Her desperate act of kindness plunges her into the world of the Aurorians, a hidden society of celestial beings who feed on positive human emotions to survive. Fenna learns she is the 'Resonator,' a fabled human capable of amplifying their powers and healing the encroaching blight that threatens their existence. She is brought to the Lyceum, a sanctuary where she is protected by Kym and three other powerful Aurorians, each drawn to her for reasons they can't explain. They see a fated bride; she sees a found family. But the Lyceum's matriarch warns her that a human in their world is a beacon for disaster, and the promise binding her to them is far more complex than a simple romance. As Fenna's presence begins to heal the Aurorians and their world, she uncovers fragmented memories of a past life - a life that chose this path for her. Was she sent back to be their savior, or to finish a task that once cost her everything?
