Sovereign of the Amber Tide
By @john1208
Jati's life is a constant, bitter fight against the crushing waves of poverty. Every day is the same: grueling work at the smog-choked docks of Port Senja, fending off loan sharks, and ensuring his bright-eyed younger sister, Kirana, has food on the table. His pride is his only armor. One morning, this fragile world shatters when a silent, regal entourage arrives to inform him he is the sole heir to the exiled Nirwana dynasty, a royal family of immense wealth and power hidden from the world for a generation. Whisked away to a life of unimaginable luxury, Jati inherits the 'Tideblood', the family's secret ability to command the very waters. But this power comes with chains: a powerful, cold-hearted fiancée named Soraya, a court of smiling vipers, and the crushing weight of a crown he never wanted. He believes his new duty is to master his power and protect his family's legacy, but the more he learns, the more he realizes the Tideblood isn't a gift, but a generational pact with a terrifying cost. With enemies circling and the whispers of an ancient, oceanic entity growing louder, can Jati seize his birthright without being consumed by the very power he thinks will save him?
