In the rain-slicked, shadow-drenched streets of Derry, 1989, fourteen-year-old Luz Uris hides her terror behind a shield of sarcasm and a gentle, defiant smile. As a loyal member of the Losers' Club and inseparable best friend to Beverly Marsh, Luz tries to anchor her friends to sanity while a shapeshifting cosmic dread feasts on the town's children. But Luz harbors a devastating secret: she has been receiving chilling, cryptic warnings from Derry's most violent bully, Henry Bowers - whispers of a truth too horrifying for him to speak aloud. To protect those she loves, Luz must decode Henry’s unspoken terror while evading the manipulative claws of Pennywise. When the entity begins weaponizing her deepest fear of abandonment, Luz must decide if she can truly save her friends, or if her desperate need to keep everyone safe will lead them directly into the deadlights. The sewers are calling, and the silence Henry left behind is deafening.
