The Airhead's Doomsday Protocol
By @john1208
The opening scene catches Nerea Zabaleta happily suplexing a thug through a mountain cyber-cafe table while simultaneously compiling a malware script on her laptop. Her multi-tasking is interrupted when a fleet of luxury SUVs arrives, and a dying grandparent's holographic will declares her the sole blood heir to the Valcasta telecom empire. Whisked away to the glittering metropolis of Alta-Vento, Nerea is immediately targeted by her hostile fake sister, Idoia, and a boardroom of arrogant elites. They see a naive, perpetually smiling country bumpkin who talks to plants and can easily be manipulated out of her inheritance. They are wrong about two things. First, Nerea is a prodigious hacker with a terrifying right hook. Second, her grandfather's will secretly triggered a digital dead-man's switch that will permanently vaporize the family's entire fortune in exactly fourteen days. While the elites waste time plotting petty high-society sabotage to ruin her reputation, Nerea must cheerfully brawl her way through physical security cordons and slice through firewalls to secure the mainframe. Alternating between Nerea's high-octane secret mission and Idoia's baffled perspective, can this smiling farm-girl out-punch and out-hack the city’s most dangerous predators before the empire goes up in smoke?
