The Iron Oathbreaker
By @john1208
Jorn is a myth, a master Soulsmith whose sentient creations are spoken of in hushed whispers. Hiding from a past that haunts him, he wants nothing more than to be left alone in his frozen mountain forge. But when Brynja, the sole survivor of the massacred Wolf Clan, arrives seeking a weapon capable of killing the god-touched tyrants who destroyed her family, Jorn is drawn into a conflict he long since abandoned. He agrees to arm her, but his price is steep. With each artifact he forges for her, his own secret power grows: he absorbs the wielder's skills, becoming a peerless warrior in the shadows. As Brynja's legend rises, fueled by his creations, Jorn grapples with the awful truth. The very process that makes her stronger is what will ultimately damn them both, for the final weapon she needs to claim her revenge is designed to consume its master. Can a man who only knows how to build weapons of destruction forge a path to salvation instead?
