MHA: The Substitute Hero
By @Liliana Espindola
When Class 1-A is informed of a new homeroom teacher, they expect a seasoned Pro Hero. Instead, they get Arthur Pendelton - a seemingly quirkless, exhausted veteran from a defunct black-ops division. Armed only with 'Deadpan Analysis', an analytical cheat that allows him to see the fatal flaws in any Quirk, Arthur is hired to prepare the students for an upcoming, brutal villain insurgency. But Arthur isn't here to be a mentor; he is a broken man hiding from a past failure that cost him his entire squad. As Class 1-A tries to earn his respect, they realize his lessons are dangerously lethal. Meanwhile, Arthur must hide his rapidly deteriorating body from his students while secretly dismantling a conspiracy within UA itself. To survive the coming storm, the students of 1-A must learn to look past his cynical exterior, while Arthur must decide if these children are worth dying for.
