A Corsage of Hemlock
By @john1208
Olesia Vancour stands at her father's funeral with dry eyes and a singular, cold ambition: dismantle the aristocratic syndicate that orchestrated his murder. Her only entry into their inner circle is the highly secured wedding of her cheating ex, Tevin. Enter Casmir Volante, the scandalous playboy of the elite, who needs a public distraction. Olesia proposes a mutually beneficial charade: she will be his arm candy, and they will make Tevin squirm at the altar. But Casmir’s careless facade soon cracks. To the cameras, he whispers filthy jokes in her ear just to catch her genuine, world-weary smile. In private, his hidden softness betrays him, remembering every passing detail, down to the exact three crushed mint leaves she prefers in her tea. When her loyal best friend Fennick pulls her into a comforting hug, Casmir’s terrifying, violent jealousy reveals a man entirely obsessed. Despite their unspoken, mutual pining, Olesia refuses to abandon her bloody purpose. Yet, as she finally secures the syndicate's coveted succession relic - her ultimate reward - a devastating truth emerges. The revenge she thought she orchestrated was handed to her on a silver platter. Who truly benefits from this trap, and is Olesia the hunter, or the bait?
