Rookie Revelations: Holy Homicide
By @Anji Ernest
Mid-Wilshire's newest recruit isn't your average rookie, but when seasoned officers John Nolan and Angela Lopez take her under their wing, the LAPD gets more than they bargained for. Jasmine 'Jas' Vance, an orphan raised in a strict, church-mandated group home, has spent her life learning to blend in. Thanks to anonymous donors, she attends an elite private school by day, but by night, she navigates the gritty reality of the streets with her hyper-protective boyfriend, Jonathan. When a routine patrol leads Jas and the veteran cop lineup straight to a murder scene inside her childhood parish, a web of dark money and high-society secrets unravels. With Nolan's optimistic guidance, Lopez's tough love, and Jonathan's reckless devotion, Jas must use her unique insider knowledge of the church's hidden financial empire to solve the case. To survive the precinct and the streets, she must expose the very holy figures who fed her - before they silence her permanently.
