Too Polite to Die, Too Platonic to Mate
By @john1208
Zhivka spent her whole life apologizing for being a wolfless burden. When her pompous Alpha mate, Grozdan, cruelly rejects her on her actual deathbed, the sheer emotional whiplash of the heartbreak flatlines her. But death is merely a technicality. Zhivka awakens inside the body of a terrifying, recently assassinated mercenary - and immediately starts apologizing to the guards. Thrust into a secret rogue empire, she discovers her new fated mate is the dreaded Rogue King, Krasimir. Having survived one fatal romance, Zhivka proposes a strictly platonic partnership, cheerfully ignoring his terrifying aura to aggressively mother his assassins. While Krasimir’s legendary outcast mentor tries to teach Zhivka brutal dark arts - which she accidentally uses to level mountains while baking scones - her former Alpha is unraveling. Grozdan's mind shatters from the severed bond, plunging him into a rabid obsession with hunting down the continent's mysterious new warlord who smells exactly like his sweet, deceased ex. With Grozdan closing in on her secret and Krasimir baffled by her overwhelming domesticity, can Zhivka tame her apocalyptic new power before her unhinged ex ruins her peaceful new life?
