Over the Front Lines
By @alasdair McFarland
Amidst the brutal stalemates of an alternate Great War, young Canadian pilot Angus Hamilton is thrust into the nascent air war over the Western Front. Armed with the impossible advantage of experimental aircraft decades ahead of their time, Angus cuts a lonely figure above the trenches. Each sortie is a dance with death, his calculating mind a blur of tactical decisions, but beneath the calm facade, he carries the crushing weight of a promise made to a dying brother. The advanced jets grant him superiority, yet they isolate him, making him a legend but also a pariah among his peers. As the Germans adapt, Angus faces not only the enemy ace determined to ground him permanently but also the chilling realization that his future tech might be the very thing prolonging this devastating conflict.
