The weight of expectations
By @Leona Jane Pimentel
Linda Walker, once the academic titan destined for perfection, finds her meticulously constructed world crumbling with an 89% average. The classroom's harsh fluorescent lights mock her as she retreats to the comfort room, a sanctuary for her cascading panic attack. Each tremor of her body echoes the weight of her parents' dreams and her own crushing self-doubt. Suddenly, a strange phenomenon occurs: the numerical digits of her average grade shimmer, revealing a hidden, ethereal symbol that only she can perceive. This symbol, tied to an ancient, forgotten system of academic power, hints at a world beyond grades, one where true understanding is measured not by scores but by an almost mystical aptitude. Linda's despair transforms into a desperate quest to decipher this power, hoping it can erase her failure and validate her worth.
