The Spiteful Sovereign's Countdown
By @john1208
Tazien was the supreme architect of the stars, brutally betrayed by his own council. Now, he has awakened pinned beneath the crushing depths of the Ouros Abyss in a magical realm - only to realize the arrogant, petty local gods demanding tribute are the reincarnated souls of his murderers. Armed with god-like power and a fragmented System, he sets out to dismantle their religion with cold, calculated precision. There is just one problem: his overloaded soul will undergo catastrophic fission in exactly sixty days. Keeping his deadly time limit a secret, Tazien’s prickly arrogance and maxed-out charisma begin causing massive misunderstandings. He cooks a simple spiced stew that accidentally causes local mortals to ascend. The continent's deadliest assassin guild witnesses him walk out of the abyss and immediately pledges themselves to him, mistaking him for their mythical founder. Meanwhile, his stoic assigned executioner, Nivara, misinterprets his quiet urgency as a tragic, majestic burden, falling hopelessly in love. As the local deities panic over this unkillable anomaly, Tazien must drain their divine cores to survive. But will his unspoken, bittersweet affection for Nivara survive the detonation he is desperately trying to prevent?
