S.O.N.A.R
By @Raven Guia
Sixteen-year-old Sam registers for S.O.N.A.R., a VR survival game with a $10M prize, in secret. Its unique horror: permadeath means a permanent biometric ban from all virtual realms, not just the game. No levels, no stats, just real-world physics and martial arts. Sam, ostracized by peers for his family's 'humble' life, yearns for validation and a way to escape their shadow. Unbeknownst to him, his flawless balance and elite reflexes are inherited from a retired VR Champion and a martial artist supermodel. As he navigates the brutal digital arena, facing lethal traps and cutthroat players, Sam must come to terms with his hidden lineage and the terrifying implications of S.O.N.A.R.'s ultimate prize, all while proving his worth to himself and a world that constantly underestimates him.
