Hourglass of the Slaughtered Shield
By @john1208
I didn’t ask to be a savior. As a certified lazy prodigy, my ideal afternoon involves a nap, not waking up trapped in a submerged glass coffin with my terrified little brother, Pellok. Yet here we are in the grim world of Nethkul, shoved into the bodies of condemned heretics. Worse, a burning brand on my wrist is counting down from thirty days - a fatal detail the mysterious transmigration mechanism conveniently forgot to mention. To survive, I need a meat shield. Enter Gavrun, the stubbornly loyal vanguard destined to be brutally sacrificed for Vellonia, this world's insufferably arrogant 'Chosen Vessel'. Instead of letting him die for a brat who despises him, I intercept his execution. I don't just heal his shattered spine; I feed him the forbidden Grave-Weaver equations, forcing him to realize his true, terrifying potential. But my old academic rival, Daelis, is in this world too, hunting the very anomalies I'm creating. With my time bleeding away and an overpowered, obsessively devoted knight ready to burn the world for me, can I outsmart my rival and break the countdown before my heart stops?
