Bulletproof Nuptials
By @john1208
The story opens at the blood-soaked deathbed of Vahri's mentor, where she swears to protect little Pava from the megacorps hunting the child's rare genetics. Desperate for legal immunity and custody, Vahri crashes the heavily armed office of Zannet, a terrifying, chronically sleepless bio-tech CEO. She offers her skills as a rogue doctor in exchange for a contract marriage. Zannet immediately agrees, but only because Vahri's unique bio-signature miraculously cures his crippling insomnia. Told in alternating third-person perspectives between the oblivious medic and the exhausted boss, the arrangement spirals into chaos. Vahri completely misunderstands the rules. She assumes "exclusive partnership" means she must act as his personal saboteur. While Zannet just wants her to share a bed so he can finally sleep, a cheeky Vahri is out hijacking convoys and zipping up tactical dresses to infiltrate galas. The explosive, strictly non-romantic tension peaks during a high-speed train heist. When a handsome rival CEO openly flirts with Vahri, Zannet breaks his own non-interference protocol, crashing a gunship into the train out of fierce, irrational jealousy. As explosions rock the city, Vahri must figure out: is her boss trying to kill her for breach of contract, or is he just dangerously possessive?
