I Raised the Pit-Fighter, Now the Tyrant is Beheading My Haters
By @john1208
Vreshna just wanted a nap. Instead, she woke up choking on fountain water while a crowd laughed at her publicly broken engagement. Turns out, the novel's actual villainess had used forbidden magic to swap bodies with her, escaping the blame and leaving Vreshna with a ruined reputation and a glaring death flag. Her pragmatic survival plan? March into the underground fighting pits, buy the starved, feral boy destined to become a world-ending tyrant, and raise him with just enough kindness that he won't behead her when he takes the throne.
Years later, the trembling boy has grown into Zhurakh - a towering, ruthless warlord. Worse, he’s now her bitter political rival in the Imperial Court, opposing her at every turn. Vreshna is exhausted and ready to flee to the countryside. But why does the tyrant brutally reject the 'original heroine' who tries to seduce him? And why is it that every noble who dares insult Vreshna mysteriously turns up decapitated in an alley? Will Vreshna survive the treacherous court, or will her overgrown pit-fighter lock her in a golden cage?
