Crimson Vow, Hidden Bloom
By @john1208
Kaelen, a blade-master whose past is as scarred as his formidable reputation, carries a secret that could shatter the fragile peace of the Emberlands: an heir to the formidable House Thorne. Years ago, a clandestine encounter with the enigmatic Arch-Duke Valerius Thorne left Kaelen with an impossible burden - a unique magical impregnation, a rare dormant trait awakened by Valerius's ancient blood. Now, fate has cruelly intertwined their paths once more. With whispers of treachery threatening the Arch-Duke's life, Kaelen is reluctantly drawn back into Valerius’s orbit, hired as his personal protector.
Valerius, breathtakingly beautiful with eyes that shimmer with an ancient, predatory magic, remains as captivating and chillingly ruthless as Kaelen remembers. Every shared glance, every brush of their hands in the shadowed halls of Thorne Keep, ignites a dangerous spark Kaelen believed long extinguished. As the walls close in and political enemies circle, Kaelen must navigate his sworn duty, the relentless pull of desire, and the ever-present terror of his son's true parentage being exposed to a world that would condemn them both.
