His Silent Demand
By @john1208
Elara Vance is an artist whose world of vibrant colors is muted by a desperate need: her younger sister's experimental treatment costs a fortune she doesn't have. When a mysterious, opaque offer lands in her lap - to be the personal artist for reclusive billionaire Alistair Thorne, with an exorbitant salary and a strict no-talking clause - she grasps it like a lifeline. Confined within the stark, silent luxury of his sprawling estate, Elara finds herself immersed in Alistair’s melancholic world. His eyes, dark and fathomless, hold a silent demand she struggles to interpret. Every stroke of her brush on canvas feels like a confession, a bridge between her vibrant soul and his brooding intensity. What begins as a strictly professional arrangement morphs as their enforced proximity and silent communication strip away layers. His raw presence pulls at her, a dangerous magnetism she can’t deny. If she fails to connect, to heal the unspoken wound she senses within him, she risks not only her sister's future but the fragile peace she’s carefully constructed around her own traumatic past, which left her mute. Her breath catches whenever his shadow falls over her, a silent symphony playing between two souls bound by an unspeakable contract.
