Rival Rhythms and Broken Chords
By @Martine
In the neon-drenched winter of 2025, Paris is the battlefield for the prestigious Chopin Grand Prix. Camille Laurent, a prodigy who plays with razor-sharp, mechanical perfection, needs the grand prize to save her family's failing conservatory. Enter Roxanne Vance, a self-taught, chaotic street pianist whose raw, emotional performances captivate the judges and threaten Camille’s structured world. When a viral video forces them into a high-stakes, joint publicity campaign, they must share a studio. Camille’s hands are failing due to a hidden degenerative nerve condition, a secret Roxanne accidentally uncovers. As they push each other to their limits, the intense rivalry morphs into a suffocating, intoxicating attraction. Surrounded by media manipulation and family expectations, Camille must decide if winning is worth destroying the only person who has ever truly heard her soul, while Roxanne risks her guarded heart on a girl who has everything to lose.
