The Zero-Balance Heir: Foreclosing on High Society
By @john1208
Olis Kanto was perfectly content fixing engines in the smog-choked Dregs of Caldaris City - until the Vancroft Consortium's enforcers dragged him into a penthouse. Revealed as the biological son of Chairman Garrick Vancroft, Olis is thrust into a viper's nest of cocktail parties and corporate backstabbing. The elites openly despise his calloused hands, while his adoptive brother, the 'perfect' fake heir Merritt, orchestrates daily humiliations to ensure Olis never claims his birthright.
But they don't know the slum-mechanic has a secret inheritance of his own. His late foster father was the city's most feared underground broker, leaving Olis the Leverage Ledger - a digital system tracking the catastrophic secrets, hidden debts, and criminal collateral of every billionaire in Caldaris.
When the snobs try to force Olis to kneel at the annual gala, he doesn't throw a tantrum. He simply taps his phone, liquidates their assets, and repossesses the very ballroom they stand in. As Olis systematically evicts the corrupt elites from their pedestals, the ultimate question remains: Will claiming his biological birthright destroy the shadow empire he’s secretly building, or will he just buy out the Vancroft Consortium altogether?
