By @Luna_de_mermelada
At 26, Shigeo Kageyama, once 'Mob', has built a quiet life, his psychic powers a dormant hum beneath the surface. Yet, the past intrudes when two disheveled social workers from an orphanage appear, not as parents, but as desperate caretakers. They offer a substantial sum for Mob to take in a volatile 13-year-old esper, a girl whose explosive power mirrors his own adolescent struggles. This young esper, burdened by a destructive past and a complete lack of control, threatens to shatter Mob's hard-won tranquility and expose the world to uncontrolled psychic energy. Mob, driven by a deep-seated fear of history repeating itself, must confront not only the girl's chaotic abilities but also the lingering specter of his own uncontrolled adolescence, all while navigating a society increasingly wary of the unseen.
