Necropolis on the March
By @john1208
I woke up inside the digestive tract of a crashed Vlaxari bio-ship. Not exactly a five-star hotel. But when a glowing interface popped up offering me the 'Genesis Mandate,' I thought I’d unlocked a cozy settlement-building game! My first 'villager' is Ollin, a legendary hero from the old world who seems awfully grumpy for a skeleton, and my 'farm' is surrounded by extraterrestrial bio-horrors that melted humanity. By killing these terrifying alien bosses, I can revive them to till my fields, lay bricks, and forge weapons. The crazy part? The more my undead build and harvest, the stronger they get. I even managed to kill a sky-scraping Makara Behemoth and slapped a town square right on its back! Now I have a walking fortress, a delightfully prickly scout named Ixchel (who I'm pretty sure is reporting my movements to an alien death cult), and a rapidly expanding metropolis. But as I finally read the system's fine print, I realized my 'friendship points' are actually a global domination meter. Did I accidentally become the apocalypse's final boss?
