A Pension, a Pet, and a Possessive Jaguar Knight
By @john1208
Waking up to the smell of burning copal incense and priests chanting her last rites, Xilotsa realizes she has transmigrated into the doomed villainess of "The Eclipse of the Sun-God." Miraculously rising from her deathbed, the hot-tempered noblewoman immediately storms her family’s sacrificial dungeons to rescue Tlanextli, a boy kept in a jade cage for his star-demon blood. Her plan is simple: fiercely protect him, raise him into a sanctioned Jaguar Knight, and let him fund her peaceful retirement in the countryside. Their days become unexpectedly sweet, filled with warm maize bread, reading lessons, and the antics of her winged axolotl, Miztli. But Xilotsa's transmigration came with a hidden caveat nobody mentioned: her borrowed body is on a strict eight-year time limit. As her symptoms secretly return, she pushes him toward the prophesied heroine for his own good. But the heroine falls head over heels for Xilotsa instead, and Tlanextli returns from war not as a dutiful pensioner, but as a towering, deeply obsessed warlord. He has secretly woven a tracking spell into her very soul - and he will defy the gods of death themselves to keep her alive. Will she survive his suffocating devotion?
