Rise of the Sentinel
By @Joe Kin
Left to rot in a rain-slicked ditch on the neon-drenched metropolis of Nexus, Javier Durk was supposed to be just another nameless casualty of corporate betrayal. Instead, the dying mercenary awakens with the Sentinel System, a god-like interface granting him absolute control over machinery and the power to synthesize and evolve advanced technology. In a world where megacorporations rule the streets and the stars, Javier must build a shadow syndicate from the ashes of his former life. Armed with self-evolving arsenals and cybernetic thralls, he executes high-stakes mercenary contracts, slowly assembling a secret organization designed to challenge the galaxy's corrupt elite. But to survive, Javier must conquer his own paranoia and learn to trust allies, or his obsession with absolute control will destroy the very empire he seeks to forge. The universe will soon learn that betrayal has a price, and the Sentinel has come to collect.
