Echoes of a Dead Star
By @john1208
Radovan Kresnik, the last human alive, died alone amidst the ruins of a world devoured by the Void. But his death was not an end - it was the final step of a desperate, centuries-old plan. Awakening eighteen years in the past, he is once again a scrawny, unremarkable student at the prestigious Svarog Spire Academy, his cataclysmic gravity magic carefully hidden beneath the guise of a clumsy telekinetic. His younger sister, Milena, is still alive, and so is Zora, the woman whose death originally broke him. Haunted by the memory of his own cowardice, Radovan is armed with fragmented memories and cryptic clues left by his future self. He must navigate the petty cruelties of the academy, including a sadistic instructor with a grudge, while secretly deciphering his own desperate message from the future. He knows the Void is coming. He knows everyone he loves is on a countdown to extinction. Can he unravel the puzzle his dying self created in time to change their fate, or will he discover that the price of saving humanity is his own?
