Awakening the Iron Legion
By @john1208
Tassio Velt only ever wanted to sleep through his tactical simulations at the Spire of Ghol. But when an abyssal rift shatters the sky and demons overrun the metropolis of Kravos, Tassio wakes up somewhere impossible: sealed inside the core of a legendary, centuries-old orbital cannon. He shouldn't be here, and he definitely shouldn't be able to fuse demon bones with broken servitors to create loyal cyber-undead.
Starting with a rusted maintenance skeleton that he evolves into a fearsome, plasma-wielding Death Knight, Tassio begins a slow, methodical march across the wasteland. His power snowballs as he loots demonic warlords, ultimately slaying a colossal Abyssal Titan to resurrect it as his personal walking fortress. Along the way, he is forced into an uneasy alliance with Commander Vellera, his former academic rival who despises his lazy brilliance. But as their banter turns into a smoldering bond, a terrifying truth emerges: the ancient historical mystery of the lost First Architect and the sudden demonic apocalypse are the exact same event. Will Tassio's mechanical horde be enough to correct a past he doesn't remember?
