Blood on the Takeout Box
By @john1208
Rhaden Corso is serving a brutal, year-long penance. Stripped of his prized knives by his grandfather, the exiled prodigy - known to the global underworld only as the mythical, anonymous chef 'The Monarch of Marrow' - must deliver cheap street food to learn the humility he violently lacks. His cold, calculating nature makes him the perfect silent courier in the lethal city of Oros Myna. But when a botched address leads him to the blood-spattered safehouse of Delphine Roco, heir to a crumbling smuggling syndicate, his exile takes a dark turn. Delphine is drowning in a brutal succession war. Her ambitious underbosses and rival cartels relentlessly mock the dead-eyed delivery boy lingering around her territory, unaware that the city's most terrifying crime lords would gladly slaughter their own kin for a single reservation at Rhaden's hidden table. As a usurper violently pushes Delphine out of the family - driven by an agonizingly noble secret to save her from a looming cartel massacre - Rhaden begins to weave his own ruthless recipe for survival. How many mobsters must he carve up before they realize they have picked a fight with the apex predator of their own food chain?
