Isekai'd as the World's Librarian: Collecting Forbidden Lore
By @Xyber 9ball
Elias Thorne, a mundane archivist, finds his quiet life shattered and reborn into a fantasy world as the custodian of a crumbling, forgotten library. His unique 'Omniscient Catalog' cheat allows him to instantly comprehend any text he touches, 'catalog' forgotten knowledge for world-altering buffs, and even manifest minor artifacts or temporary allies from literary descriptions. This new world is plagued by a creeping 'Memory Blight,' a magical pandemic that systematically erases history, skills, and even magic itself, pushing civilization towards an illiterate, magic-deprived dark age. Ancient evils, once bound by forgotten lore, now stir, growing stronger with every lost truth. Elias's central conflict revolves around venturing beyond his dusty sanctuary, meticulously re-cataloging the world's vanishing knowledge, and confronting the malevolent forces behind the Blight. He must restore collective memory and mend the fractured fabric of reality before truth itself becomes a forgotten legend, pitting his intellect against those who seek to control the last vestiges of information.
