The Dragon's Guest-Right: Starving the Arrogant Heavens
By @john1208
Shen Yumo was nothing but a soot-stained kitchen drudge at the Frost-Qilin Pavilion, beaten by arrogant disciples for offering his only blanket and warm porridge to a dying, half-frozen mud-carp. He didn't care that the creature was ugly; he only knew what it meant to be discarded in the snow. But the carp was actually the dormant Abyssal Dragon Patriarch, and to repay Yumo's genuine warmth, it rewrote the laws of cultivation around him. Now, Yumo possesses the Dragon's Guest-Right. Anyone harboring malice toward him finds their spiritual energy slowly draining into the earth, while anyone who eats Yumo's humble cooking experiences miraculous cultivation breakthroughs. The very elites who once kicked Yumo into the dirt now find themselves mysteriously losing their powers, their only salvation lying in his soup bowl. As proud elders are forced to meticulously wash dishes and politely queue behind stray dogs and crippled servants just to get a taste of his spirit-infused congee, they must swallow their pride or lose their immortality. But what happens when the Heavenly Court discovers a lowly cook is unintentionally draining their spiritual leylines to feed the outcasts?
