Venom, Wine, and the Ash-Hound
By @john1208
Yekta Fadan's plan for cold, clever revenge against the tyrannical Gilded Viziers who slaughtered her clan is meticulously crafted. But her fiery temper is tested when a bizarre brass puzzle box is delivered to her safehouse. Inside is a dire prediction from an infamous street fortune teller: Zarshan Dalca, the Viziers' ruthless enforcer known as the Ash-Hound, will burn her alive and destroy her rebellion if she crosses his path. Desperate to keep her vengeance on track, Yekta fakes an engagement to a clueless aristocrat and aggressively attempts to matchmake Zarshan with high-society ladies to keep him distracted. Instead of giving her space, her transparent tactics deeply irritate the brooding enforcer. He stalks her every move, terrifying her fake fiancé and scowling at her matchmaking attempts, his dark gaze burning with an uncharacteristic, jealous heat. The tension reaches a boiling point when a dangerously drunk Yekta corners him at a gala and blabs the entire prophecy to his face. What Yekta doesn't know is that Zarshan hates the Viziers as much as she does, bound to their service only by a cruel blood-curse to keep his captive sister breathing. Will this inescapable attraction destroy her rebellion, or will the Ash-Hound become the ultimate weapon in her revenge?
