The love I wish would last
By @Sakura Nozomi
Aoi Shimizu, a naive young woman, was wed into the Imperial family for a fragile alliance. When whispers of her husband's mistress reach her ears, she makes a desperate bid for freedom, only to be intercepted by the very man she sought to escape. In a single, tumultuous night of tears, panic, and a desperate kiss, the facade of their cold, arranged marriage shatters. What emerges is something far more dangerous: a possessive obsession in her husband, determined to keep her. Aoi, with her uncanny ability to read the silence between words, soon finds herself trapped in Kizuna no Miyako, a city of treacherous bonds, where every silk-clad smile hides daggers. She yearns for true freedom, but her heart, ever so naive, might just find itself ensnared by the very cage she tried to flee, as the true cost of imperial love begins to reveal itself.
