The Insomniac's Fake Bride
By @john1208
The story opens at a lavish engagement gala in the glittering city of Vespari. Zesara Fane, a shamelessly cheeky executive concierge, flashes a brilliant, fake smile beside her boss, the notoriously cold CEO Orenzo Vettori. To the world, it is a whirlwind romance. In reality, it is a strict contract: Orenzo provides the marital stability Zesara needs to win custody of her little brother, Timo, while she keeps Orenzo's overbearing family at bay. There is just one unwritten complication - Orenzo suffers from severe insomnia and can only drift off when Zesara is sleeping beside him. As shared beds lead to accidental intimacy, like zipping up dresses and sleepy embraces, a bittersweet, unspoken love blooms between them. Told in alternating third-person perspectives between Zesara and Orenzo, the stakes rise when Zesara uses her secret fluency in the obscure Qalaran language to save a vital international merger. Her triumph threatens a trusted corporate mentor who is secretly orchestrating their downfall from the shadows. When a sudden paparazzi ambush forces Orenzo to break his own rules with a fierce, jealous kiss, will their fragile love survive the sabotage, or will hidden enemies tear their newfound family apart?
