The Scarred Sorcerer of Shadow Glen
By @Dermeval Barbosa
Elara, a young woman haunted by the loss of her family to the encroaching Shadow Blight, possesses a stolen, sentient grimoire. This ancient tome, *Whisperwind*, grants her forbidden shadow magic but demands a piece of her soul with every powerful spell. She dwells on the fringes of civilization, a phantom amongst the living, her only desire to resurrect her loved ones - a quest deemed impossible by all. However, a creeping realization dawns: the Blight itself seems drawn to her power, and the grimoire's true nature hints at a horrifying connection to the very darkness she fights. When a desperate plea for help reaches her from a ravaged village, Elara must choose: succumb to her isolation or risk everything to protect a world that despises her, even if it means sacrificing more than just her soul.
