the olympians in retirement
By @Bella
Ares, the once fearsome God of War, now navigates the mundane battlefield of office politics and video game lobbies, his divine rage channeled into competitive esports. Sharing a cramped apartment with Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, who has traded temples for TikTok and divine beauty for influencer trends, their quiet mortal lives are a stark contrast to their Olympian past. Occasional, bewildered visits from Zeus, who embraces the simplicity of country living, highlight their new reality. No longer worshipped, their immortality stripped, they find themselves surprisingly content with mortal comforts, having traded cosmic dominion for a quiet retirement. But when ancient whispers resurface, threatening to shatter their newfound peace, Ares must decide if he's truly retired from war, or if some battles are destined to be fought again, even in sweatpants.
