Dwbb’s last organic breath was stolen in a sterile laboratory. Now, his consciousness wakes trapped inside a towering, cold-iron chassis. He is one of the Thousand - human souls forcibly uploaded into heavy-metal automatons, marooned on a ruined planet, and forced to rebuild a civilization they will never inherit. To survive, they must fight. The overlords demand entertainment, forcing the metallic survivors into a brutal gladiatorial arena. Yet, Dwbb possesses a terrifying anomaly: an inexplicable, reality-bending 'plot armor' that dynamically alters probability to keep him functional, no matter the damage. But luck is a cold comfort. As a calculating tactician, Dwbb despises variables he cannot control. Surrounded by bloodthirsty mechanical beasts and desperate, dying peers, he must fight his way to the top of the colosseum. If he fails, his spark will be extinguished forever, his soul recycled into mindless armor. Dwbb must decide: will he remain a puppet in this synthetic hell, or will he lead an iron revolution?
