One-Star Getaway Driver

By @john1208

Miro Veltis shook hands with his terrifying grandfather, agreeing to a year-long trial away from the Veltis Maritime shipping empire. Miro's goal? To find a woman who loves him for his golden heart, entirely without his wealth. But when Miro's humble takeout delivery interrupts a multimillion-dollar smuggling drop in the rain, the furious gangster princess Nyssa Garren slaps him with a one-star review and takes him hostage as her personal getaway driver. Thrust into a high-octane world of bullets, rival cartels, and screeching tires, Miro refuses to lose his sunny disposition - or his perfect rating. He aggressively chaperones Nyssa through shootouts, politely neutralizes assassins, and slowly melts her icy heart. But as her syndicate rivals close in, a bloody misunderstanding comes to light. Miro thought his grandfather’s opening deal to 'claim the Garren girl's heart' was a romantic trial to test true love. His family actually expected him to assassinate her and annex her territory. When the Veltis fleet arrives to finish the job, will this ridiculously kind courier burn his own empire to protect his one-star customer?
