The Secret Ingredient is Shamelessness
By @john1208
Nasrin Qasemi is in the middle of a fistfight with a hungry poltergeist when she realizes her life has gone utterly off the rails. Once a disgraced potion master in the grand metropolis of Oraz, she figured out that hiding her foul-tasting healing elixirs inside perfectly spiced lamb skewers was the best way to bypass the city's strict apothecary laws. Setting up a rickety street stall right outside the gleaming, five-star Pavilion of Pure Nourishment, she only wants to make a quiet living healing the poor. There’s just one problem: she completely misunderstood the city's magic laws. Culinary alchemy isn't illegal; it’s a lost, highly revered art! While Nasrin acts like a cheeky, paranoid smuggler, denying her food has magical properties, the city's elite are losing their minds over her cooking. Even the city's ancestral ghosts are refusing to reincarnate, haunting her stall as ghostly bouncers just to get another bite of her saffron rice. When an arrogant food critic vows to shut her down and a rival spy infiltrates her kitchen, can Nasrin keep up her 'illegal' charade, or will her mouthwatering dishes conquer the entire city first?
