Crimson Vows, Shadowed Devotion
By @john1208
The heavy oak door of her bedchamber swung open to reveal a spectral courier bearing a morbid delivery: a wax-sealed crate containing the exact poisoned vintage that had just ended her life. Ilythra Morvath realized instantly she had returned to the gloomy eve of her greatest mistake. In her past life, viewing her arranged husband as a bitter rival for the city's throne, she had forced Lord Korven to sign divorce papers. Her cold ambition had stripped him of his protections, leaving the secretly devoted man to be slaughtered by the treacherous Lord Brixen. Not this time. Tearing the divorce papers to shreds, the quietly ruthless Ilythra begins a terrifying campaign of aggressive affection. She showers the stoic, paranoid Korven with macabre gifts - the severed alliances and literal heads of his enemies - leaving the usually cold lord profoundly flustered by his wife's bloody doting. Using a terrified double agent, she systematically slaughters Brixen’s syndicate from the shadows. Yet, the eerie forces behind her rebirth offer a dark 'reward' for every rival slain. These mystical boons are a sinister trap designed to slowly hollow out Korven’s soul. Can Ilythra outwit the architect of her resurrection before her lethal love destroys him all over again?
