The Smiling Farmer's Deadly Harvest
By @john1208
I buried my master today. As the dirt hit his coffin, the Heavenly Enforcers who murdered him stood by, sneering at our 'worthless' agricultural sect. I just smiled, wiped a fake tear, and loudly complained about how this funeral was delaying my spring planting. They think I'm just a shameless, dim-witted farmer obsessed with a good harvest. Let them. They don't know that every note I play on my battered bamboo flute to 'encourage the cabbages' is actively weaving a web of mind-control across their entire vanguard. When Zong Wuhen, the tyrannical enforcer of the Heavenly Dao, finally marches on my fields to eradicate my 'unorthodox' existence, he expects a slaughter. Instead, he's going to find his elite sword cultivators turning their blades on each other to the tune of a peasant's folk song. And if any arrogant master tries to intervene? I'll just toss them a freshly uprooted radish - one that detonates with the apocalyptic force of a falling meteor. I will dismantle their oppressive heavens piece by piece. But as my web tightens, I've uncovered the terrifying, tragic reason behind Zong Wuhen's cruelty; will my harvest of vengeance end up destroying the very world I'm trying to avenge?
