Chapter 1: The Fallen Swordsman
By @Ram Singh
Joro, a once-revered swordsman in the ancient world of Zuris, now drowns his past in cheap ale, his ego a brittle shield against the world's scorn. Stripped of his honor and haunted by a mysterious failure, his only remaining companion is a sentient, ruthlessly efficient sword. This blade, a relic of immense power, demands a price: Joro's unwavering commitment to its dark will. When a sinister cult begins harvesting souls to awaken an ancient evil that threatens to unravel the very fabric of Zuris, Joro finds himself thrust back into the fray. He must reclaim his lost skill and confront the demons of his past, all while battling a world that despises him and a sword that threatens to consume him from within. Can a fallen hero rise again, or will his own arrogance be his ultimate undoing?
