the dragon's call
By @Tino Morton
In a soot-choked steampunk metropolis powered by captured elemental currents, Ashen Reys lives in the shadows, hiding his identity and a secret: he hears the ancient dragon gods. When a draconic deity calls upon him, using his true, chosen name, Ashen is charged with a monumental quest: find the key to unlock the Great Mountain Gate and free the trapped gods. But there is no brass key. The 'key' is a lost harmony of elemental forces - steam, water, ice, and snow. Forced out of his isolation, Ashen must find three companions who command the other forbidden magics. With the ruthless Steel Conclave hunting down magic users to fuel their sky-ships, Ashen's gentle nature is pushed to the limit. To save his world and protect his new found family, he must master his volatile steam magic and learn that vulnerability is a strength, before the Conclave extinguishes their magic - and their lives - forever.
