The Farmer's Painted Heaven
By @john1208
On his grandfather's deathbed, Su Mian received a simple final wish: live a quiet life, tend the soil, and paint the seasons. As a cheerful, kind-hearted farmer, Su Mian wants nothing more than a bountiful harvest. But the cultivation world is ruthless, and his fertile valley is soon coveted by Yan Zhui, a fiery Body-Refining tyrant. When Yan Zhui unleashes his legendary Sun-Devouring Mastiff to trample the fields, Su Mian absentmindedly folds a discarded sketch into a paper crane that effortlessly outflies and humbles the mythical beast.
Through his Dao of Everyday Life, Su Mian's landscape paintings come alive, accidentally trapping baffled, arrogant invaders inside inescapable ink-wash mountains. Yet, danger looms above. The Heavens reward his profound insights with Golden Dew - a miraculous nectar that is secretly a divine trap designed to hollow out ascended mortals. With a conflicted double-agent secretly living on his farm, and an unspoken, bittersweet romance blooming between the cabbage rows, can Su Mian's gentle brushstrokes rewrite a fate dictated by the cruel Heavens?
