Cooking Up Carnage for the Desert Lord
By @john1208
Zendra Vorloch made the biggest mistake of her life when she ignored the deathbed summons of Brakkar, the fierce chieftain of the Zol-Tarish Wastes, all to appease her manipulative fiancé. Her reward? Cut brakes and a fatal steam-car crash in the freezing rain. Reborn moments before signing away Brakkar’s ancestral lands in a shady corporate deal, Zendra violently torpedoes the negotiation and pivots to a new life goal: becoming the fiercely loyal caretaker to a giant desert warlord. Told in alternating perspectives between a furiously domestic Zendra and a deeply bewildered Brakkar, their bond grows as a bittersweet, unspoken love. Zendra aggressively cares for his daily needs, shoving piping-hot stews at the stoic chieftain. But there is a catch - armed with the 'Happy Hearth System,' Zendra finds that every domestic reward is a deadly trap. A gifted whisk summons void-beasts; a new spice rack attracts elite assassins. Zendra must secretly slaughter her past enemies and these cursed monstrosities before dinner gets cold. Can she cure Brakkar's lingering affliction before her own kitchen kills them both?
