A Tailor's Guide to Unraveling the Sect
By @john1208
Zhai Yan is the lowest robe-mender in the Cang-Xiu Sword Sect, mocked daily by haughty disciples who literally wear their status on their enchanted silk sleeves. When he suffers severe burns to rescue a grotesque, dying gutter-worm that the inner disciples were torching for amusement, they laugh and predict he'll die of infection. Instead, the worm cocoons and hatches into the primordial Yue-Chen Fate-Moth. It repays his kindness by granting him the Emperor’s Needle: the ability to see and alter the metaphysical threads of destiny woven into fabric. Zhai Yan doesn't need martial arts to get his revenge. By simply dropping a stitch in an arrogant elder's collar, their qi leaks uncontrollably. By embroidering a hidden blessing into an abused servant's rags, they suddenly achieve martial enlightenment. As the sect's cruel elites realize their priceless robes are causing them to publicly trip, confess crimes, and fail breakthroughs, they desperately seek out the legendary 'Ghost Tailor' to fix their cursed garments - entirely unaware they are begging the very servant they tormented. But with a massive blood-dye ritual approaching, can Zhai Yan unspool the sect's darkest conspiracy before the final thread snaps?
